Threefold's School Partnership Programme connects local families with expert financial advice - and helps your school raise funds.

Threefold is a licensed financial advice provider based at Smales Farm, Takapuna. We have been helping New Zealanders with mortgages, KiwiSaver and insurance for more than 20 years, and the majority of our business comes through referrals and word of mouth.

We are proud to be partnering with a small number of local schools to offer something that genuinely benefits families and schools alike.

How The Programme Works*

If your school is signed up to our referral programme, it's simple to help them earn funds.

Step 1

Book a Complimentary Financial Review

Our specialist advisers can provide you with advice on your mortgage, KiwiSaver, personal insurance (health, life, trauma etc), or general insurance (home, contents, vehicle, landlords or business insurance).  

 

Book one - or several - reviews, depending on your needs. Our advisers will provide tailored advice to help you achieve your financial goals. 

 

A review will cost you nothing and there is no obligation to move forward if the timing isn't right.
Step 2

Nominate Your School

 

If you decide to become a Threefold client, you can nominate your school to receive a referral payment. 

 

Your school will earn $150 if you become a Threefold mortgage, KiwiSaver or insurance client, or $500 if you become a mortgage client with more than $500,000 in new lending. 

 

Referrals payments will be made directly to your PTFA to support fundraising initiatives in your school community (noting no personal information will be provided to your school).

Step 3

Spread The Word

 

Anyone in the community can participate and nominate a school by following these same steps. It is not a requirement to have a personal relationship with a school to nominate it. 

 

They'll get expert advice and your school will have a chance to earn generous referral fees. It's a win:win!

Every Review Earns You The Chance to Win $5k!

Complete a review and you will automatically be entered into our twice-yearly draw to win $5,000 - yours to spend, save or invest as you please.

 

You'll earn one entry for each type of review (eg. mortgage, KiwiSaver, personal insurance, or general insurance) you complete. 

 

You don't need to become a client to receive an entry into the draw - you'll be entered simply by completing a review.

You'll simply chat with one of our specialist advisers about your mortgage, KiwiSaver, insurance - whatever is most relevant to you.

The adviser will provide you with personalised recommendations and advice, based on your circumstances and financial goals. You can act on the advice, or you can take the advice away and do nothing further with it.

Many people do choose to become Threefold clients because they find the advice useful, but that is entirely your decision. Regardless of whether you choose to become a Threefold client or not, you will not be charged for the advice you receive.

No. Threefold does not share individual, personal information with partner schools.

Your school will be notified of the number of referral payments it has earned, but never provided with the individual details of who those payments came from.

Your privacy is protected in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and Threefold's privacy policy.

No. Anyone aged 18 or over who is a New Zealand resident can book a review and nominate a partner school to receive a referral payment, regardless of whether they have a direct connection to that school.

This means if you have family, friends or colleagues who could benefit from a financial review, they are welcome to participate and nominate your school too.

Everyone who completes a financial review is automatically entered into Threefold's twice-yearly prize draw, with one entry for each type of review (eg. mortgage, KiwiSaver, personal insurance or general insurance) completed.

Draws are held on June 1st and December 1st each year, and the winner receives $5,000 cash to spend, save or invest however they choose.

You do not need to become a Threefold client to be eligible, you are entered simply by completing a review.

Referral payments are made directly to your school's PTFA, not to individuals.

Your school earns $150 when someone from your community becomes a Threefold mortgage, KiwiSaver or insurance client, or $500 if they become a mortgage client with more than $500,000 in new lending arranged through Threefold.

Only one payment is made per person, based on the highest applicable tier.

Payments are batched and made to the school on a regular schedule, after each qualifying referral has been confirmed.

The programme is currently running as a pilot.
