Experience and Background
Bruce's career path is unusual in the mortgage advisory space and represents a genuine advantage for his clients. Beginning his career as a mortgage adviser in the United Kingdom, Bruce then moved to New Zealand where he retrained and spent nine years as a Chartered Accountant, developing a deep command of financial statements, cashflow analysis, tax structures, and the financial decision-making that underlies property ownership. He brought that expertise back to mortgage advising when he joined Threefold, where he has been working with clients for the past two and a half years.
This combination – accounting rigour, international lending experience, and New Zealand market knowledge – means Bruce approaches mortgage advice with a level of financial literacy that goes well beyond the transactional. He is well placed to work with clients whose situations involve complexity around income, structures, or financial planning, and to communicate that complexity in terms lenders understand.

- Clients with more complex financial positions who benefit from an adviser with a strong accounting background
